Living independently shouldn’t mean navigating life alone.
Meadowlark Concierge is a private life and lifestyle concierge for older adults who have moved into independent living. We help clients build connection, confidence, and a real life in their new community, and we give families the reassurance that someone trustworthy is close by.
The transition
The move solves one problem. It can create several others.
Moving into independent living is often the right decision. It is also a major life transition. Familiar routines disappear. Longtime neighbors are miles away. New friendships take time. Technology, transportation, and unfamiliar systems get frustrating.
And many older adults stop asking for help, because they don’t want to feel like a burden.
That is the moment we step into.
The choice families face
Families shouldn’t have to choose between two extremes.
Mom is completely on her own.
No one nearby who really knows her. Every question, problem, or opportunity is hers to figure out alone.
We need to take over.
Adult children coordinating everything from a distance, or bringing in care she doesn’t actually need yet.
There is a third option: professional support that preserves independence.
What we do
One trusted relationship. Multiple solutions.
Every personalized plan is built around five kinds of support.
Connect
Build relationships, find activities, and become part of a new community.
Navigate
Find resources, services, transportation, and answers to everyday challenges.
Plan
Create personalized goals and routines that support independence and quality of life.
Advocate
Communicate needs clearly with families, communities, and service providers.
Reassure
Give families greater confidence that someone local knows their parent and is paying attention.

A guided path from “just moved in” to genuinely settled.
Every older adult and every family is different, so our support adapts. But the path generally moves through five stages.
-
Understand
Get to know the person.
-
Connect
Create a sense of belonging.
-
Build
Turn connections into routines.
-
Thrive
Encourage purpose and independence.
-
Sustain
Adapt support as life changes.
Who you work with
Led by a licensed clinical social worker.
Meadowlark Concierge was founded by Andrea Dunseth, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with deep experience in aging, life transitions, family dynamics, and community resources. That background shapes everything about how this service works, from the first conversation to the way we handle a difficult family discussion.
We are not a therapy practice. We simply bring a clinical understanding of aging to a service that is about living well.
For adult children and representatives
What families are really buying.
Families aren’t purchasing hours. They’re purchasing confidence, continuity, peace of mind, connection, and their parent’s independence, preserved.
Confidence
Confidence that someone knows your parent, not just their file.
Continuity
One person who understands the bigger picture and doesn’t rotate out.
Peace of mind
Knowing there’s a trusted professional nearby.
Connection
Someone actively helping your parent build a life in their new community.
Independence
Support that doesn’t quietly take control away.
You can’t be there every day.
Someone can. See how this works for families who live out of town.
Let’s talk about what your family needs.
A short conversation is the best place to start. We’ll talk about the move, what’s working, what isn’t, and whether concierge support is the right fit. There’s no obligation and no pressure.
